PSBM: Monitoring of MTs Ardaniah in Serang City
"We want to bring up students as a good athlete in horsing and archery"

PhotoMarching Band Group of MTs Ardaniah welcomed PELITA team.

PELITA team visited MTs Ardaniah in Taktakan district, Serang city next on 28 September 2010. The students performed marching band which is one of activities in PELITA program this year in team's visit.

MTs Ardaniah is a new school established in 2009. Although it is a new school, parents trust on this school to send their children. It is seen that the number of students has increased as twice as that of last year. The classrooms are still in short according to the rise of students' number and they still use alternative classrooms which were made of bamboo.

It is a challenge for MTs Ardaniah to accept the big number of students for enhancing quality of teachers, students and condition of school. So that in PELITA program, school team conducted training for teacher, training for students in sport and art, and 30 percent of fund allocation was used for rehabilitation of bathroom and classroom.

The principal of MTs Ardaniah, Hanafi Ilyas said that teachers' training is very helpful because some of them were still young and still need more knowledge of how to teach. So that this training helped them to make syllabus, lesson plan (RPP), and subject items well and correctly. Moreover the uniqueness in this school is horsing and archery. The principal added, "These sports are implemented to bring up students as good athlete and become a representative of Indonesia in national and international.  Hopefully, the financial support of PELITA is not first and last for MTs Ardaniah" .
