PSBM: KITs developed their own PSBM guidelines!

Serang District and Pandeglang District in Banten Province, targeted area of PSBM developed their own PSBM guideline in December 2011. Editing team, consisted of representatives from District Implementation Team, principals and teachers has discussed for several times. These guidelines are called Mandiri (Independent) Guideline and it symbolizes the PSBM program has been one of education programs/strategies in the local government. Both districts incorporated the present condition and also mentioned their foal in the future.

For examples, we can find regency of Pandeglang district's contribution on the guideline. He mentioned 1. Enhancing education is prior task for Pandeglang district, 2. PSBM program conducted by JICA has contributed to enhance education in Pandeglang district, 3. Thus Pandeglang district decided to continue the program by themselves, 4. Let's continue to go forward to enhance the quality of education in Pandeglang district.

It was also a unique that Serang district mentioned the titles and names of editing team members. We can find the fact that the guideline was edited by involving with not only district educational office and district religious affairs office but principals and teachers.

The guidelines will be distributed to counterpart in local government, all SMP (ordinary secondary education school) and MTs (region secondary education school), TPK (Sub-District Education Development Team) and UPTD (Local Technical Service Unit).
