Joint Preparatory Survey was conducted in order to observe current situation related to water supply in the host communities.

December 2010 Hydro-geological Survey
Hydro-geological survey was conducted in the project sites.

15th February 2011 Hydro-geological survey report
Hydro-geological survey report was completed.

22nd February 2011 UN Joint Host Community Project (JHCP) meeting in Dadaab
The project team attended JHCP meeting and presented outline of the project.

8th to 11th March 2011 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
EIA was conducted in the project sites.

21st April 2011 Tender Document
Tender document was prepared and was submitted to Ministry of Water and Irrigation

10th May 2011 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report
EIA report was completed. The project applied to National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) for EIA license.

15th June 2011 Meeting with UNHCR officials in Nairobi
The project team called on UNHCR in Nairobi and explained outline of the project and the progress.

4th July 2011 Tender advertisement
Advertised tender on drilling 11 boreholes, including 1 sallow well, in a national newspaper (The Standard).
