Interviews with counterparts

In order to know science and mathematics topics that are difficult for teachers to deal with, the project team gave questionnaire to Pedagogical advisors in District Education Bureaus (DEBs). The results do not show the reason why teachers are not good at these topics. Therefore, the project team visited target schools to obtain the reasons from teachers. Before visiting schools, project team expected that teachers' insufficient knowledge and study might be big causes. However, according to the interviews with teachers, the team realized that problems are not only at teachers' side but also at inappropriate descriptions and exercises in textbooks. Before starting the project, project team did not know these concerns. Therefore, the team is now making a plan to deal with them.
