First workshop in the second year was held by ITSME trainers in February to improve model lesson plans and teaching materials. As three months has already passed since we had the last workshop, we needed to reconfirm what type of lesson the ITSME project requires at the beginning of the workshop. Although they remember that the project aims to realize understandable and enjoyable lesson, it is not easy for them to make such kind of lesson plans. As textbooks include inappropriate or incorrect expressions, they discussed how they could provide correct concept and knowledge for children with overcoming textbook concerns.

Through the discussion, it was seen that trainers could consider lessons by focusing on students and what students should learn.

During this period, JICA study team from Japan visited the workshop and target schools to monitor project progress and gave several recommendations for further improvement.
