The fourth workshop was held at Pakse Teacher Training College from 17 to 21 June. ITSME trainers prepared materials and presentation for TOT which is held in the next week. Additionally, a questionnaire for ITSME trainers was conducted for JICA terminal evaluation.

1. TOT schedule

ITSME trainers considered what they should tell to the principals and ATs to set the activities in TOT. As a result of their discussion, they decided to have the report of the results of Endline survey and a presentation of ITSME manuals in addition to the introduction of ITSME materials, and IS planning. They assigned PES trainers to present the report of the results of Endline survey, TTC trainers to present ITSME manuals and DEB trainers to present ITSME materials. Finally, they worked with the provincial team to fix up the schedule for each province.

2. Preparation for contents of each presentation

Each group discussed the contents of each presentation. After making a presentation, each group presented it to the whole trainers to invite their comments.

While some presenters explained well with their own words, others just read their preparation scripts. Based on the comments on each presentation, the groups reconsidered and improved the contents of the presentation. However, some groups could not complete their presentation clearly at the last day of the workshop. Therefore, they continue to practice the presentation during weekend and the preparation day before TOT.

3. Development of learning materials

In terms of the presentations of ITSME materials such as Math and Science lesson plans, trainers decided to use some visual learning materials to make their presentation effective. Therefore, trainers made these materials by themselves. Through this making process, trainers deeply understood how to make materials and how to explain it to the participants.
