Agriculture and Forestry Office (PAFO) was held on September 1st. About 50 people including the Director General (DG) of Department of Livestock and Fishery (DLF), Chief Representative (CR) of JICA Laos office and the Deputy Director General (DDG) of Champasak PAFO participated in this ceremony.

In the ceremony, the DG of DLF explained the background of the project and the construction of this office. The DDG of PAFO expected us to manage this office appropriately and contribute to improve livelihood of local people in southern areas.

After Dr. Amano, chief adviser of the project, explained the outline of the project, DG of DLF, CR of JICA and DDG of Champasak PAFO jointly cut opening ribbon for new office. We also had traditional Lao ceremony, "bacy", in the office. The participants saw inside of the office and took lunch together. This ceremony was published on local and central Newspaper and also broadcasted on Lao news TV program.
