Aquaculture Technical Training for VADW Candidates

LIPS held technical training of aquaculture at Namxouang Aquaculture Development Center in Vientiane capital city from 30th January to 10th February 2012. In total 12 VADW (Village Aquaculture Development Worker) candidates from five target clusters, where aquaculture extension activity is being conducted, participated in the training. Additionally, five farmers of FAP (Fuang Aquaculture Project) funded by the JICA Partnership Program for grass roots level also participated in the training.

The participants learnt how to implement seed production of Common carp in the training. After the training, they will produce Common carp fingerlings and sell them to aquaculture farmers in the villages. Then it is expected to resolve the lack of fish fingerlings in the target cluster.
