Technical Training on Aquaculture for Counterparts 2

Technical training on aquaculture was held at KM8 Provincial Aquaculture Station located in Pakse district, Champasak province from 2nd July to 6th July, 2011 (5days). The contents of the training were seed production of Catfish and cultured frog, earth warm culture, Daphnia culture and fish disease, which were decided based on the requests from the counterparts who have own experience of their activities in last year. Two aggressive VADWs (Village Aquaculture Development Worker) also participated in the training.

In this year, seed production by VADWs and group aquaculture by Women's Union, schools and village communities in the target clusters have started. It is expected to activate seed production by VADWs and to improve technical support by the counterparts as the outcomes of this training.
