Aquaculture Training in Japan

Aquaculture training in Japan was conducted from 25th November to 12th December 2012. Three project counterparts who were in charge of aquaculture extension participated in the training. The objective of the training was to contribute to improvement of aquaculture extension activities through the learning of aquaculture techniques in Japan. Gunma Prefectural Government through its fisheries experimental station kindly received the trainees. According to the participants, they are satisfied with the learning which includes some sophisticated aquaculture methods and techniques. After returning to Laos, they started to apply the learned techniques in the Project. Furthermore, the training in Japan enhanced those trainees' understanding on the culture and customs of Japan which has improved communication between them and those Japanese assigned to the Project. Some footage shot at Gumma Prefectural Fisheries Experimental Station was broadcasted by local TV news.
