The 10-day training course on Linux Server Administration started on the 10th and completed on the 26th of this month.

The instructor of this session is Mr.Yoichi KOGURE, a JICA expert and he conducted classes in Thai language which is familiar to the trainees. We had twenty four participants in total. They are the trainees of Database Administration course, those of Network course who passed the screening examination held in last month and six young university staff who want to enhance their work-related IT skill.

The main topics include:

• Installation of Linux to server
• Security for Linux server
• DNS server
• E-mail server
• Web server
• FTP server
• Samba server

On the 25th and 26th, paper examination and practical examination were held respectively to get the idea on the level of understanding they had achieved. The marks of trainees differed a lot because of their different experience level.
