The 2nd Batch activities have started in the target areas where were selected through proposal system!

MA-SHEP conducted "Sensitization Meeting for the Programme Manager & Officers from Karonga & Mzuzu Agricultural Development Divisions (ADDs)" on 30th and 31st October, 2018 respectively.

The purpose of this Sensitization Meeting is to sensitize ADD Officers on outline of MA-SHEP and discuss the selection process of implementation districts.

On the following day of each Meeting, "1-Day Sensitization Workshop of the SHEP Approach and MA-SHEP Activities for District Agriculture Development Officers (DADOs) & District Subject Matter Specialists (SMSs)" was conducted on 31st October and 1st November. Every DADO is required to submit a district proposal to the ADD and MA-SHEP Offices after this workshop in order to confirm their commitments to implement the MA-SHEP activities in their districts.

At the end of the workshop in Karonga ADD, the Programme Manager, Mr. Smart A. Kamanga inspired the district officers by saying, "This is not the financial cooperation, but this is the technical cooperation. Even if we receive money, we use up within 1 or 2 years. But we can use techniques for many years. It's very good opportunity for us!"
