MA-SHEP held the 7th Technical Committee Meeting

The 7th MA-SHEP Technical Committee (TC) Meeting was held in Lilongwe on 8th January, 2019. At the 7th TC Meeting, MA-SHEP reported the progress of the project activities in the 2nd quarter of Malawi Fiscal Year 2018/2019 (from October to December, 2018) and the plan of project activities in the next quarter. In the report, the Project emphasized that there was an effect of motivating counterparts and farmers through the success of the Third-country Training Course of the JICA's Knowledge Co-creating Programme, Market-oriented Agriculture Promotion in Africa (A) (B), held in Lilongwe in November. At the end of the meeting, we proposed revision of the Project Implementation Plan (IP) in response to activities in the 2nd Batch target area started in October.

Although it was right after the holidays, many officers especially from the Department of Agriculture Extension Services attended the meeting. Mr. Chikomola, the Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Services inspired the participants by saying, "Put your commitment on it. Now we are targeting on the 2nd Batch area, but still we need to follow up the 1st Batch area. We shall continue to develop a good strategy which support farmers sustainably."
