MA-SHEP carried out Organizers' Training for ADD and District Officers

On 17th and 18th of January 2019, MA-SHEP held two-day Organizers' Training on Basic SHEP Approach for officers from Agriculture Development Divisions (ADDs) and District Agriculture Offices (DAOs) of the 2nd Batch target areas (Karonga ADD, Mzuzu ADD, Chitipa DAO, Karonga DAO, Mzimba North DAO, Mzimba South DAO, Nkhata Bay DAO and Rumphi DAO). This training was conducted with the objective of sharing the preparation/implementation method of MA-SHEP Package's main activities, the roles and responsibilities in the implementation of the activities, and the selection criteria of the target Farmer Groups. Even in this year's training, we introduced the SHEP game "Fun Fun Farming!" same as last year. Through exercise, the participants learned the contents of this "Serious Game" and competed for scores. Following the lessons learned from last year's training, we added a new session on how to implement the "Stakeholder Meeting" which will be held by DAOs. Furthermore, we invited an agribusiness officer (Ms. Lusayo) of Salima DAO, one of the 1st Batch implementing district, to share the experience of her field activities.

Finally, project activities in the northern part of Malawi will begin!
