MA-SHEP held a workshop on revising Technical Training Materials

On 7th and 8th February 2019, MA-SHEP conducted a workshop on revising Technical Training Materials on Agricultural Techniques Information (ATI) and Specific Production Techniques (SPT). The purpose of this workshop is to review and revise the training materials on horticultural crops production based on knowledge and experience gained through in-field training in the first year. MA-SHEP invited the Principal Horticulture Officer from Kasungu and Salima Agriculture Development Divisions (ADDs), Horticulture Officers from 7 District Agriculture Offices (DAOs) and Extension Officers from 7 Extension Planning Areas (EPAs) for the workshop.

At the beginning of the workshop, Dr. Godfrey Ching'oma, the Director of Crops Development, encouraged the participants by saying that "By revising training materials to a more user-friendly ones, we can improve the productivity and quality of horticultural crops. And, as a result, farmers can be competitive in the market.".

During the 2-day workshop, participants actively confirmed each teaching material page by page and exchanged opinions to make it better. Mr. Thomas Banda, Agriculture Extension Development Officer (AEDO) in Mchinji District said that "I was so excited to be able to create training materials with everyone through such discussions! It was very interesting!".
