"Two-Day MA-SHEP Gender ToT for Extension Staff Responsible for Target Farmer Groups in Implementing District Agriculture Offices (DAOs)" was conducted from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th March, 2019.
The purpose of the training is to introduce the participants on household approach tools such as visioning and gender balance tree. Through these tools, we aim that the household members, both female and male should participate in farming helping each other.
We invited Agriculture Gender Roles and Extension Support Services Officers (AGRESSO) from each District Agriculture Office, and they did a very good job during the Training. Some of them facilitated lectures, and others supported the facilitator sharing their experience. While extension officers were doing exercise, they looked around and advised extension officers on it.
The extension officers are going to conduct Gender Training to Target Farmer Groups from now on.
