A short-term expert, Professor Dr. Gürol Dinc from Turkey, held a seminar on foreign direct investment (FDI) and the Turkish experience to adopt the EU standards for representatives of project stakeholders, central government agencies, and the academe on 19 May 2011.

Dr. Dinc's presentation drew from his vast experience of working for the Turkish government's FDI, planning, and finance agencies, as well as his stint as investment advisor at a large American beverage company in Turkey. His presentation, which covered both public and private points of view, emphasized the importance of providing incentives to influence investors to invest. His lecture also covered the Turkish experience of adopting EU standards in its bid for EU membership. This created a strong interest among the audience as the Prime Minster of Mongolia declared that the country would adopt EU standards.
