One of our main Project goal is to improve environmental and information accessibility for persons with disabilities in Ulaanbaatar. To start with, Mongolian young persons with disabilities, our counterpart officers and JICA experts went out to the city to check environmental accessibilities in city councils, schools, hospitals, supermarkets and transportation services such as bus, train and airport (5th August till 11th August 2016).

Steep slope
We found too steep slopes for wheelchair users and many broken braille brocks. But we also found good braille brocks in new paved roads and barrier free supermarkets. Regarding information accessibility, this is still a new area in Mongolia, and so far, no training or seminar has done. Currently, the Project members mainly talk to people who are blind and deaf to find out the current situation on information accessibility and problems they are facing.
