CBR World Congress in Malaysia (25th till 30th September, 2016)

For 5 days from 25th September till 30th September 2016, the JICA Project mission team joined the 2nd CBR World Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. CBR stands for "Community Based Rehabilitation" and its strategies are well known especially in the disability field in the world. There were 1,000 participants; 600 foreigners and 400 Malaysians were joining. CBR activities are active in Asian countries, and finally in 2019, the Mongolian government will host the 4th CBR Asia Pacific Congress. Therefore, with Ms. Mungunchimeg, the newly assigned Vice Minister of Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Director from the Division of Development of Persons with Disabilities, representatives from organizations of persons with disabilities in Mongolia and JICA experts have joined the event. The mission team deepened the knowledge on CBR activities, learnt the method of organizing World Congress and announced about next CBR Congress in Mongolia in 2019 to welcome all.

We try our best to increase social participation of persons with disabilities in Mongolia to show various good practices and lessons learnt in 2019.
