Introducing pilot kindergartens!

To establish inclusive education model in kindergarten, the Project selected two pilot kindergartens.

"Kindergarten No.12"

Kindergarten No.12 is located in Khan-Uul District, Ulaanbaatar. There are many handmade learning materials for children to improve their fine motor skills. Ms. Javzan, head of the kindergarten, explained that they improve such skills by fun activities using the materials including buttoning, zipping up and down. Currently there are 5 children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Kindergarten No.12.

"Foal's Friends Kindergarten"

Foal's Friends Kindergarten in Zuunmod, Tuv Province was founded in 2016. They are actively collaborating with other institutions and performed an activity to teach children with disabilities healthy habits with NGO namely "Mongolian family's happiness". Moreover, with help from the institution, meals were prepared using gluten-free flour and whole wheat flour for children with disabilities. About 230 children attend this kindergarten and 5 children with disabilities were accommodated to date. Currently one child with down syndrome and one with cerebral palsy are enrolled.

We will develop some tools and manuals to contribute to disseminate inclusive education nationwide, through the activity in those pilot kindergartens.
