The 2nd Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting was held on April 22, 2022. The 1st JCC meeting had been held totally on line, however this meeting was held face to face. While 33 participants attended in person, some participated in the meeting online from Japan.

After opening remarks by Ms. L.Tsedevsuren, Secretary-General, Ministry of Education and Science (MES), Ms. S.Tungalagtamir, Director of Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and Mr. Tokuji Yoshimura, Deputy Senior Representative of JICA Mongolia Office, Ms. Sayaka Suzuki, Chief Advisor of the START Team, reported and shared the progress made so far. She also presented the directions of the project activities for the second half period to facilitate the discussion.

Then, the participants actively discussed how to ensure the sustainability of promoting inclusive education after the Project period.

To close the meeting, Ms. P. Oyunaa, Director General, Education Policy and Planning Department, MES, made the following remarks:

The MES is now formulating the policy on inclusive education. The policy will incorporate the outputs from the START Project. MES also plan to have policy indicators on inclusive education with performance contract with local governments.
