Held 3rd Joint Coordination Committee Meeting

The 3rd Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting was held on January 24, 2023. At the meeting, project stakeholders from both Japan and Mongolia discussed topics related to the project. While 23 participants attended the meeting in person, some participated online from Japan.

After opening remarks by Ms. L.Tsedevsuren, Secretary-General of Ministry of Education and Science (MES), and Mr. Tokuji Yoshimura, Deputy Senior Representative of JICA Mongolia Office, Ms. B. Gereltuya and Ms. J. Purevsaikhan, Specialist of MES, reported the monitoring activities in core provinces. Ms. Sayaka Suzuki, Chief Advisor of the START Team, proposed the in-service teacher training system and using the training materials created by the project, and the participants discussed how to utilize them.

The participants actively discussed how to ensure the sustainability of promoting inclusive education after the project. The project is scheduled to end in August 2024. The participants agreed to focus on building a system to disseminate inclusive education nationwide during the remaining project period and to continue the activities after the project end. Finally, they agreed on the project activities and inclusive education dissemination activities planned in 2023. The status of their implementation will be reported at the 4th JCC.
