Moving forward on the selection of target school groups

Selection of target school catchment areas (in French, bassins scolaires) were carried out by the regional and provincial officials in Chaouia-Ourdigha and Doukkala-Abda, the pilot areas of the 1st round of the project. As a result, the beneficiary primary and lower secondary schools were tentatively identified. The project will assist schools having with the lowest level in terms of quality of and access to education. The selection of the pilot schools is expected to be approved in the 1st Joint Coordination Committee meeting scheduled on 4th of December. Once the target schools are officially decided, field-level activities of the project will start accordingly.

Besides, the preparation for the baseline survey is also going on. A workshop was conducted in mid-November to draft questionnaires for the baseline survey. Regional inspectors participated actively. Step by step, the project is steadily progressing.
