May 16 to 18, 2012

At Mintain Pin Forest Department (FD) camp in the southern Shan state, "Training Workshop on Developing Community Forestry in Myanmar" was jointly organized by the RECOFTC* and FD　from 14th to 18th May 2012.

Chief adviser of JICA Expert Team (JET) was invited by FD and Planning and Statistic Department (PSD) and attended the workshop from 16th to 18th May 2012 as observer.

The training workshop targeted for middle management level FD officers, such as assistant director and staff officer who came from various parts of Myanmar. It was a good opportunity for Project to know participants' understanding toward CF and to be exposed to CF applications in Shan State which has different environmental and socio-economic conditions from Ayeyawady Delta. The Project would like to reflect feedbacks of this workshop to the project activities as much as possible.
