The training of preparing Annual Progress Report

Based on township-level CF extension action plans prepared during the Community Forestry Extension Planning Workshop held in February 2012, the CF extension were implemented in Pyar Pon Township (15th to 16th January) and Bogalay Township (17th to 19th January), respectively. With participation of concerned CFUG members and FD staff, a workshop on CF area management and conflict issues, and CF extension signboard installation in CF areas were conducted in Pyar Pon Township. In case of Bogalay Township, a workshop on silvicultural techniques required for rive bank protection forest and demonstration of improvement operations for CF river bank protection forests were held. Though actual implementations took nearly one year after the preparation of action plans, respective FD township offices actively prepared and implemented their plans, reflecting needs of concerned CFUGs for CF extension.
