Newly installed aerator in IOE water treatment plant

On 7 May, Prof. Kazama (Project Manager), Prof. Nishida (Project Secretary) and Dr. Kamei (WG4) visited Kathmandu. They conducted the following activities during their stay.

Main activities:

1. Regulating water flow of the slant spongy water treatment installed in Jwagal
2. Courtesy call to newly appointed Chief Representative of JICA Nepal Office
3. Courtesy call and information exchange with a Joint Secretary of Ministry of Water Supply and Sanitation, which is a new ministry of Nepal government and now the line ministry of the project.

With Prof. Kazama, Mr. Mizuno and Mr. Yoshii, who are the staff members of Hitachi Plant Services Co., Ltd., also visited the project for installing an aerator in IOE water plant and inspecting trouble with the aerator installed in Jwagal.

The project's activities with the aeration devices became possible with the help of Hitachi Plant Services Co., Ltd.
