Water treatment development activities

From 14 June, Dr. Kamei (UY) and Mr. Do Hai Nam (UY's student) carried out adjustment of the slant water treatment reactor and installing new devices for Jwagal plant. The newly installed devices are as follows.

  1. Artificial wet land system for Nitrogen and Phosphorus removal by plant and microbial activities for domestic water production.
  2. Nitrogen removal systems by Dropping nitrification and hydrogenotrophic denitrification for drinking water production

On 18 June, Mr. Mizuno and Mr. Sakurai came from Japan for replacing the aerator in Jwagal, which has been out of order, with a submersible aerator. Besides this, they worked on adjustment of the aerator installed at IOE water plant.

The activities using these aeration devices became possible with the help of Hitachi Plant Services Co., Ltd.
