Mr. Khadga B. Shrestha (Working Group 5, Graduate student of Uni. of Yamanashi) visited Kathmandu in a period of 2 - 16 October 2017 and conducted WG5 activities in preparation for socio-economic surveys in the local communities of Chyasal and Chapacho (Thimi), and a student hostel of Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan Uni. where the LCDs would be operational in a few months. Through several meetings with the beneficiaries, which were organized in cooperation with Small Earth Nepal, a partner NGO of the project and WG4 members who were also stayed in Kathmandu then, essential factors to water distribution and the survey such as the enrollment process households, water price and distribution system, role and responsibilities of committee as well as water users, were discussed.

During his stay, he also did another WG5 works such as information collection about water system in non-LCD communities.
