Activities of Working Group 2 (Water Quality Assessment)
A student of a doctoral program in Uni. of Yamanashi carried out water quality assessment activities in Kathmandu from 14 January to 25 January.
Dr. T. Nakamura (WG2 Leader) also joined him in a period of 21 to 25 January for water sampling through which eight borehole well water samples were collected in collaboration with KVWSMB for age dating of deep groundwater from depth of 75m - 300m in Kathmandu valley. In addition, they had a meeting with KVWSMB to discuss research techniques of groundwater systems identification and summarized numbering of 180 shallow groundwater and river water samples collected by researchers of TU-CDG for water quality analysis.
