The 1st Research Working Group (RWG) Meeting of the Project was held at a conference room of Department of Health (DOH) in Manila on May 21, 2018. The meeting was attended by 17 members including DOH officials, JICA Experts, Japanese researchers, and JICA Philippine Office staff members.

The meeting aimed at discussing research design to identify effectiveness of the new drug dependence treatment model and confirming research activities under IntERlaPP between April 2018 and March 2019. Following the series of presentations, the participants discussed operational element of the research design such as inclusion criteria of patients, sampling modalities, and utilization of the existing statistics available at two target Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers.
