The 2nd Research Working Group (RWG) Meeting of the Project was held at a conference room of Department of Health (DOH) in Manila on September 26, 2018. The meeting was attended by 17 members including DOH officials, JICA Experts, Japanese researchers, and representatives of JICA.

The meeting aimed at discussing research instruments and data collection modalities to evaluate the treatment outcomes of patients who participate in the new treatment model to be developed by the Project. In particular, psychometric tools to compose questionnaires and possible modalities to follow up patients discharged from the treatment facilities were thoroughly discussed. The participants agreed on the concrete steps to develop the research instruments and to pretest them before initiating the data collection under the research component of the Project.
