5th Research Working Group Meeting
The 5th Research Working Group (RWG) Meeting of the Project was held at the Department of Health (DOH) in Manila on July 1st, 2019. The meeting was attended by 14 members, including DOH officials, JICA experts, and JICA staff members.
The RWG members discussed the research protocol to evaluate the effectiveness of the new treatment model for drug users (INTREPRET) and its data collection process at pilot treatment and rehabilitation centers (TRCs). They agreed that the data collection be started after the training for INTREPRET facilitators and key administrative staff in September 2019. They also endorsed the plan to submit the research proposal to the Department of Health Single Joint Research Ethics Committee (SJREB) for a review at the August review meeting.
