Project News

The 6th Research Working Group (RWG) Meeting of the Project was held at Torre Venezia Suites in Quezon City in the afternoon on November 15, 2019. The meeting was attended by 17 members, including Department of Health (DOH) officials, a private service provider, JICA experts, JICA staff members, and local consultants.

The granting of ethical clearances both in Japan and in the Philippines research committees was reported at the meeting. The RWG members agreed that clinical trial registration and the study protocol paper development will be led by Professor Takayuki Harada, Principal Investigator of the Research.

The schedule for IntERlaPP project staff and the consultant data collection team to visit Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (TRC) Bicutan and TRC Bicutan to discuss practical arrangements for data collection activities at the TRCs was also confirmed.
