Introduction
Welcome to our Project
Rice is the most essential food in the Philippines. But there is a shortage of rice with increasing population.
In this circumstance, JICA has assisted Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) from 1989 until November 2009 with different project phases.
The on-going technical cooperation project phase 3 between JICA and PhilRice has targeted to develop location-specific technology to be promoted to farmers in different ecosystems and agronomic conditions.
