In October 2008, the ceremony was held on the construction site to celebrate the completion of the first phase construction work in flood control pilot project in Kinanliman basin, attended by congressman, Mr. Mark Enverga, and Real City mayor, Mr. Joel Amando A. Diestro.  In  Phase1, the 192-meter-long dike with revetment was constructed in the budget of 10 million pesos （about 20 million yen）.
Following Phase1, the construction work in Phase 2 was started at the beginning of this April.  In this work, the further 70 meters of dike is to be constructed after； the feasibility study was carried out； the master plan was developed； the detailed design was drawn up； the civil work contractor was selected through the bidding.  The construction work is to be completed in 4 months, in July.
