Child with autism shared a song and inspired participants.
The "Training on Inclusion of Children with Disabilities in Day Care Centers" for Day Care Teachers was held on November 22-25, 2011 at the TESDA Training Center in New Lucena and the Iloilo Grand Hotel in Iloilo City. Participants consisted of twenty one (21) Day Care Teachers, a Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) of New Lucena, a NHE Focal Person, leaders of the group of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and others with potential to become day care teachers in the future.
The four-day-training was designed to equip with New Lucena Day Care Teachers with basic knowledge of disability affairs and children with disabilities, and to develop their attitudinal foundation to be supporters/advocates for the inclusion of children with disabilities in Day Care Centers.
The program contents consisted of as follows:
SPED Teachers demonstrated how child with hearing impairment make different sounds.
The participated Day Care Teachers listened to the speaker in the training.
