The project report in July is about the workshop for developing regional and provincial dissemination plan of EQUITV Program in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (ARB).

ARB is located north-east from Port Moresby, the capital, and it takes around 2hours by flight. ARB was one of target provinces in the phase 1 and the EQUITV Program was successfully introduced in pilot primary schools. In phase 2, ARB is considered both as a target and model province and expected to play a leading role in the dissemination of the EQUITV Program. Even though ARB made a great success in dissemination during the phase 1 some regions still remain unreached. In order to achieve the province-wide dissemination of the EQUITV program the continuous inputs should be made.

The administrative officers in ARB discussed their dissemination plan with JICA experts and started working on developing the basic framework and figure to reach such as the number of TV equipments to be supplied. They will continue the revise of plan based on which the project team will conduct activities in 2013. The project team also visited the phase 1 pilot schools to monitor the current status of TV equipments and utilization of TV programs. The observed challenges will be discussed and reflected to activities in the phase 2.
