Project Activities

The project provides the skills training to Demobilised Soldiers with Disabilities (DSwDs).

Besides, the project opens a window of the skills training opportunity for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) throughout barrier-free renovations in the Skills Training Centres (STCs) and Training of Trainers (ToT).

The chart above illustrates the process of the skills training for DSwDs by categorising four stages (Trainees' Screening, Skills Training, Graduation and Employment).

  1. Trainees' Screening: The project selects trainees in cooperation with counterparts.
  2. Skills Training: The project provides the skills training to DSwDs in cooperation with existing STCs. The project conducts baseline survey and monitors trainees.
  3. Graduation: The project distributes starter kits (tool kits) in order to promote the use of acquired skills at work after the graduation.
  4. Employment: The project conducts follow-up survey in order to analyse the actual situation of graduates' economic and social self-support and reintegration into communities.
