At this meeting, the title of the Project was changed to “The Project for Strengthening District Health Management in Kambia District”. The Donor Liaison Officer in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation was also included as an official member of the JCC. The Senior Advisor from JICA Headquarters emphasized that project ownership and commitment were key to achieving the outcomes and successful development of the project. The JICA Resident Representative from Ghana, in his closing remarks, promised support and commitment from both the Ghana and Sierra Leone Field Offices, and hoped the project would pioneer the building of a sustainable health system in Sierra Leone, leading to the development of the country.
