• Presentation on modified PDM

The Ag. Deputy Chief Medical Officer of MOHS chaired the meeting. In his opening remarks, he said we should have a critical look at the presentations to ascertain whether the project is in line with its objectives or goals. The Project Expert, in her presentation, explained the PDM in details and reported that a monitoring and advisory mission team from JICA visited Kambia to review progress with the DHMT and made suggestions for effective, efficient and sustainable interventions. She explained that the project’s main focus, was to make CDHP better, hence the need to get good quality data and reports from the PHUs. This can be effectively achieved through supportive supervision. The Deputy Ag. Chief Medical Officer said he was happy that the capacity improvement of the DHMT was the major focus of the project and he appreciated the good working relationship between the project and Kambia District Council.
