On 20th October, the project team visited Ms. Tiyiselani Victoria Japane's home in Saselamani community, Vhembe district, Limpopo province. She is a member of the Limpopo working group of the project.
Ms. Japane is 19 years old and the second daughter of a family of ten. Her farther is working as a guide at the Kruger National Park which is one of the Africa's largest game reserves. Her house is thatched with straw. When the project team visited her house, her mother was cooking with firewood.
According to her, there are challenges in community such as water shortage. In addition, persons with disabilities face difficulties such as excluded from community activities due to impairment and teased by thoughtless people.
Ms. Japane and the project team will conduct a number of activities in community to make her community inclusive.
