The project team organised the 3rd Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting at the boardroom of the national Department of Social Development (DSD) in Pretoria, and around 30 stakeholders including Mr Mzolisi Toni, the Deputy Director-General of DSD and Ms Mokone Nthongoa, the Head of Department (HoD) DSD Free State and Mr Tomohiro Seki, the Chief representative of the JICA South Africa office participated in the meeting.

In the 3rd JCC, the representative of DSD Limpopo shared the progress of the project activity in Limpopo province and the representative of DSD Free State shared the readiness to start the project activity in Free State province. In addition, participants discussed the project activity plan up to the 4th JCC which will be held in June 2018 and the proposed chapters of the guideline which will be developed to compile lessons-learnt and experiences of the project activity, and both were approved in the meeting.
