The project team met the High Commissioners of the Kingdom of Swaziland and the Republic of Mozambique to discuss project activities in the Southern African region!

15th and 16th January 2018

H.E. Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, the Deputy Minister of the Department of Social Development (DSD) organised meeting with H.E. Dumsile Sukati, the High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Swaziland and H.E. Paulino Jose Macaringue, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique, and Mr. Ren Kamioka, JICA expert briefed the project outline.

The project plans to gradually promote activities on empowerment of persons with disabilities and disability mainstreaming in the neighbouring countries. It was agreed that the Deputy Minister of DSD and the project team will visit Swaziland and Mozambique in March 2018 (Plan) to meet the stakeholders such as government officials of the relevant ministries, representatives of Disabled People's Organisations (DPOs), etc., and the High Commissioners of Swaziland and Mozambique promised to support the visitation.
