Synergy Effects among Multi Cluster Activities

In Agriculture and Livelihood cluster in "Capacity Development Project for the provision of Services for Basic Human Needs in Kassala State (K-TOP)", a series of trainings for extension officers and model extension activities as on the job training will be planned. As a preparatory works for training and extension activities, CUDBAS (Curriculum Development Based on Ability Structure) workshop was carried out. CUDBAS is assumed as an effective participatory method for curriculum development and baseline survey. In collaboration with experts in vocational training cluster, ability assessment on three aspects, such as knowledge, skill and attitude was implemented in the fields of mechanized agriculture, horticulture, marketing, rural development and core skill etc.

It is easy to establish such kinds of collaboration or team work among each other in K-TOP due to multi-sectoral and comprehensive characteristics and will be considered as a good example of synergy effect in the project. For the extension officers who participated in the workshop, it is expected to show clearly about the reaching points in their ability and locate respective trainings in the whole.
