Scenes of the community event in Khan Shikhun

Commencement events at the district level, called Kickoff events, were held, starting with a joint event of Al Bab district and Deir Hafer district in Aleppo on July 15, on July 26 in Manbej district in Aleppo and on August 1 in Khan Shikhun in Idlib. In each event, around a hundred of local influential people, such as representatives of local organizations, political party members, religious men, and community leaders participated. During the event, project activities and the results of KAP survey (knowledge, attitude and practice survey) were introduced by governorate counterparts, and BCC plan was presented by director of each health district office. In response to them, participants expressed their strong interests and willingness to cooperate with the project. It became opportunities to share the present state of reproductive health of each district, and also to introduce the health strategies which would be taken by the governorates and the districts in the framework of the project. These events were reported in the Syrian mass media, such as TV and newspapers.
