Tajikistan - Accounting Software Training in SIBI

On October 26-28, Business Incubation Project (BIP) convened 3-day training on an accounting software that is going to be introduced to State Institution "Business Incubator" (SIBI). A total of 14 people attended the training held at Dushanbe Business Incubator (DBI).

One of the BIP's objectives is to support SIBI in establishing key administrative procedures and manuals, as well as to build SIBI staff's capacity. To improve and optimize all accounting processes at SIBI HQ and its regional divisions, BIP Team proposed SIBI to introduce "1C accounting", which is a software commonly used in CIS countries. To ensure proper utilization of the software by SIBI staff in charge of accounting, BIP organized this training to be conducted by BDO, a Tajik supplier of the software.

The training session, conducted in Russian and Tajik languages, took 3 hours each day. Among the 14 participants, 8 were from SIBI, 3 from BIP, 1 from a World Bank project, 1 from a UNDP project, and one from DBI's users. With this training focusing on major accounting subjects relevant to SIBI activities, participants were all satisfied with the software's functions that will ease the tasks that they will face on daily basis.

The supplier will provide technical support for one year; SIBI staff can call the support center whenever they have any questions or face any challenges.
