Vol.16: Retreat for Master Trainer Capacity Building

O&OD team has been strengthening Local Government Training Institute (LGTI) as a leading training institute to manage trainings for implementation and replication of Improved O&OD. Strengthening the individual capacity of candidates of Master Trainers (MT) is a prioritized issue at this moment in order to create a strong foundation of an institutional training system within LGTI,.

The project had already trained 9 candidates of the 1st generation of MT (1st-MT) last year. This year, the retreat was conducted for 5 days from 9th through 14 July 2017 in Morogoro, aiming at training 11 new candidates for MT (2nd-MT) on Improved O&OD, Community empowerment, and Community facilitation.

The training was mainly led by 1st generation of MTs both for class and field session. As far as class session was concerned, 1st MT well managed to lead the session on conceptual framework of Participatory Local Social Development (PLSD) pertaining to community elements and its function.
