Vol.17: CPP Workshop for WFs and DTF members

Year 2016 witnessed the revision of guideline for Community Planning Process (CPP). Based on the last year's experience on revised CPP, the O&OD team had a workshop in Morogoro on 20th and 21st July 2017 with Ward Facilitators (WF), Senior Facilitators (SF) and DTF (District Task Force) members from 7 target LGAs. The workshop aimed to create a common understanding of community empowerment among the participants, to extract the challenges of CPP process and revise the guideline and to identify steps to go about the CPP training by respective LGAs to new WFs.

Throughout the workshop, effectiveness and points that need to be improved on revised CPP were well shared among all participants and based on those discussion, the 3rd revision was made and distributed. The participants discussed and successfully made an action plan for CPP 2017.

It was promising to know that very active attitude and solid vision toward CPP were seen from some of the target LGAs. O&OD Team will verify the applicability of the revision this year and continue to make efforts to build a purpose oriented CPP.

In the workshop on the other hand, Senior Facilitators (SF) and Senior Facilitator Candidates (SFCs) had a group discussion on the necessary Knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Experience (KASE) of WFs. Outputs of the discussion will be utilized as a base for WF Guideline in the near future.

After this workshop, it is expected that all participants will internalize the revised CPP so that village representatives will be able to conduct CPP in more constructive and easier manner while DTF are expected to accommodate the revised CPP for effective CI support by LGA.
