During the orientation of Improved O&OD in March, our team received heart-warming news from JICA Tanzania office.

JICA office regularly prepares press releases to disseminate the activities of the projects externally. The O&OD project team had the opportunity in 2020 to introduce the background of this project's technical cooperation to Tanzania on Tanzania's national newspaper. After a few months of preparation from story making to layout design, the feature story on Improved O&OD was finally published on 6 national newspapers; The Guardian, Citizen, Daily News, Mwananchi, Habari Leo and Nipashe. These articles were realized with full back up from JICA Tanzania office.

The article features "People's Self-help efforts" and "Government-Community Collaboration" and digs deeper on "triggers" that make this happen.

As the article was published during the orientation period, the newspaper was delivered to the venue for the participants to read through.

With the hope that majority of nationals will have seen this article on Improved O&OD, the team is fully committed to move on with ongoing dissemination workshops nationwide.
