The 6th Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting and Bio-oil Seminar is held

The 6th Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting for the (SATREPS) Innovation on Production and Automotive Utilization of Biofuels from Non-Food Biomass Project was held at Rama Gardens Hotel on the 11th of February 2016. The meeting was chaired by the Project Director, Dr. Paritud Bhandhubanyong and had attendees from Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy (DEDE) , Thailand International Cooperation Agency and Thai oil group as well as the Counterparts of the Projects from MTEC, TISTR, KMUTNB.

At the JCC meeting, The Joint Terminal Evaluation Report was presented by the JICA evaluation team and the project director. The report confirmed that the project has achieved its initial goals and has produced high results in various fields. Both the Thai and Japanese sides expressed their determination to continue efforts for social utilization of the developed technologies, especially H-FAME production technology, and for dissemination of the technologies to ASEAN countries through Third Country Training Program etc. The project successfully adjourned the final JCC meeting.

In the afternoon, the Bio-oil seminar was held. The project members shared their developed technologies such as bio-oil production technology from Jatropha residues by thermal/catalytic conversion using the biggest circulating fluidized bed fast pyrolyzer in Thailand and separation and stabilization technologies of bio-oil.
